see that "smile" sign on the wall. dips and i made that at a PJ show in San Diego (June '03). we were in the 2nd row. the guys (PJ) saw the sign and "smiled" at it. how fitting. but they didn't play our request. so, i took the sign home to indiana and hung it on the wall. then, i took it to a PJ show in St. Louis (Oct. 04). tiffany and i was in the 7th row. the guys (PJ) saw the sign and "smiled" at it. again. this time, jeff and stone, both gave me the shoulder shrug ... like, sorry - wish we could. well, i went to their show the next night in asheville, north carolina (about 10 hrs away!!!). i had to go by myself even. had average tickets. and wouldn't you know it ... they played my song! sweet, huh? i'd like to think my request the night before helped get the song into the next night's setlist. what do you think? next
